Insight Investment has published Putting Principles into Practice – its first annual report on activities in the area of corporate governance and investor responsibility, that offers a comprehensive account of how Insight Investment integrates consideration of environmental, social and governance issues with investment management and research.

The report illustrates how Insight Investment aims to deliver superior returns and provide a market-leading service to its clients by including analysis of material corporate governance and corporate responsibility issues into its day-to-day investment activities, while making a meaningful contribution to improving corporate performance in these areas.

Putting Principles into Practice coincides with the first anniversary of the launch of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. The PRI sets out a broad framework for investor action, emphasising the importance of: integrating environmental, social and governance issues into conventional investment analysis; being active, responsible owners by promoting good corporate practice in these areas; and reporting transparently on the action taken on each Principle.
