After the great hype given to a particular song, which made it to the second phase of the Malta Song for Europe 2008, it seems that a snippet (1minute) of the song Catwalk performed by Ray Calleja under the stage name Josette, was leaked on the Internet, Oikotimes reported yesterday.

Just minutes before the news was pasted on to Oikotimes’ website, one could find one minute of the song on YouTube. However, it seems that the user removed the audio. In fact the link no longer works.

This is a very sensitive matter, Oikotimes said, as none of the 35 songs are guaranteed a place in this year’s semi-final, therefore the songs that do not make it through the second phase can be submitted in future editions on condition that the entries will not be made available to the public.

ESCMALTA.com recorded the audio on a voice recorder in order to refer it to the Malta Song Board. Also, a print screen shot of the YouTube window link is in possession of ESCMALTA.com for more verification.
