Ten young people are being held in police custody after ecstasy pills and cocaine were seized in separate raids on New Year’s Eve.

Police anti-drug personnel conducted searches in different localities, and from three Paceville establishments arrested 10 youths who had the drugs in their possession

The young people, aged between 16 and 22, are from Qormi, Cospicua, Senglea, Zabbar, Zurrieq, Valletta, Gzira and Mellieha. Three of them were found in possession of ecstasy pills ready to be sold.

The young people are to be arraigned in court in the coming days, the police said.
