The Malta Communications Authority (MCA) and representatives of the communications industry, recently presented the sum of €1,180.41 (Lm506.75) to the Razzett tal-Hbiberija, raised during the fifth bowling charity event organised by the authority.

The Razzett tal-Hbiberija is a non-profit foundation that offers an array of recreational and therapeutic services to over 1,000 persons with a disability. This is done free of charge based on their philosophy on focusing on ability, and not disability.

The foundation depends on the generosity of the public, corporate sponsors and its ability to organise or benefit from regular fundraising activities. It requires at least €931,749 (Lm400,000) per annum to offer its services to the public. A donation of €2.33 (Lm1) a month could make all the difference in the life of a person with a disability.
