Eco-drive Radio-controlled chronograph

Malta Independent Sunday, 20 January 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Having introduced the world’s first multipolar receiver type radio-controlled watch in 1993, Citizen radio-controlled watches have always been at the forefront of technological development.

The latest addition to the Citizen Promaster family is the Eco-Drive radio-controlled chronograph analogue model AS4040-55E.

With the assistance of a revolutionary signal receiver, it is now possible for these watches, with all stainless steel case, to be appreciated locally.

This new range of watches receives a standard time radio wave transmitted from Germany, which makes them much more accurate than normal quartz timepieces. They boast a 1/20 seconds chronograph, alarm function, sapphire crystal glass and water resistance to 20 bars, and use the unique Eco-Drive quartz technology that charges the battery in sunlight or indoors, removing the need for expensive battery replacements.
