The Labour Party has launched three fringe meetings, which are discussing in detail three motions coming up for the approval of the party's general conference at the weekend. Those taking part in the discussions include experts and leading speakers from the European Socialist Group.

The first meeting on Monday discussed the motion on quality of life, and was addressed by party deputy leader Michael Falzon, economist Prof. Edward Scicluna, businesswoman Marlene Mizzi, and Socialist group deputy chairman Haanes Svoboda.
