The Hotels, Food and Beverage section of the Union Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM), yesterday gave notice of industrial action at Air Malta after the management failed to pay the arrears and increments due to the airport handlers and business support assistants.

The section made representations with the management as well as Investment, Industry and Information Technology Minister Austin Gatt. The latter, however, did not even have an answer to the representations. A conciliation meeting was held but there was no outcome, the UHM said.
