Le Méridien St Julians recently hosted the Le Méridien’s Service Culture Transformation Training.

22 delegates from Le Méridien properties in Portugal, Poland, Germany, Croatia, UK, Belgium and Malta attended this intense five-day training programme to roll out the new Service Culture Transformation within their properties. In turn these delegates will themselves help train the rest of the staff in their respective properties. The training was given by two senior Starwood Trainers, Josephine Le Yannou, Corporate Training and Development Manager and Christine Tomaselli, Director of Service Culture Training. The delegates were awarded certificates on the last night at a gala dinner, where they were also given mementos of their stay in the Maltese Islands.

Hotel Manager, Ms. Angela Saliba commented that the management and staff at the Maltese property felt proud to host such an important event in the brand’s repositioning. Embracing Le Méridien’s mission statement, Ms. Saliba stated that, “Globally Le Méridien will provide guests with more than a great stay. Their stay will inspire them to be creative by giving them a new perspective in looking at life”. The focus is to transform Le Méridien into a leading-edge lifestyle brand that attracts the creative guest by providing a chic, cultured and discovery experience.

Le Méridien St Julians is the only hotel in our islands representing the Le Méridien brand. Attending the training from the local property were Mr Martin Spiteri, Food and Beverage Manager; Ms. Sandra Scerri, Training Manager/Six Sigma Green Belt; Ms Susan Firth Bernard, Assistant Front Office Manager; and Ms. Katerina Bartova, Personal Assistant to the Hotel Manager.
