The Union Haddiema Maghqudin said an analysis it has made of the political parties’ electoral programmes showed that a substantial number of its proposals have been included in them. Nine-tenths of its proposals were included in the programme of one of the parties, and the lowest inclusion in either was 76 per cent, it said.

Every proposal made should be quantified, so as to show what it would cost the country, the UHM said. Expenditure had to be within the Maastricht criteria and every initiative should aim primarily to involve the full person in every decision. No proposal could succeed if it did not promote Maltese society’s values, and every proposal should be socially just.

Improving relations with the EU should remain the aim of every programme, the UHM added, calling on voters to exercise their right to vote.

It augured that whoever won would be a government for all Maltese and Gozitans.
