Enemalta Corporation said yesterday there has been no price increase for cylinder gas. It issued the notice after receiving reports that a gas distributor was requesting a higher than the established price.

The corporation said it has contacted the GRTU, Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises, and the Malta Resources Authority to take action against the offending distributor.

Consumers can call freephone 8007-2224 in case of difficulty.

Gas prices are e5.40 for a 12kg cylinder,e6.73 for a 15kg cylinder and €12 for a 25kg cylinder.
