Retired Corinthians Meet again

Malta Independent Thursday, 10 April 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 18 years ago

A group of over 60 retired personnel from Corinthia Group’s Malta operations, some going back to Corinthia’s early days in the late 1960s, were entertained to an annual day of celebrations by the Corinthia Group’s Activities and Sports Club.

The day long event started off with a thanksgiving mass at Our Lady of Victory church in Valletta, followed by a lavish tea break at a nearby open air café. The Corinthian veterans then proceeded to a guided tour of the President’s Palace and Armoury in the city itself, before being whisked away to the five-star Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay for drinks and a sumptuous lunch hosted by Corinthia founders and company directors Joe, George and Victor Pisani.

Being unavoidably away from the Island on company business, Corinthia chairman Alfred Pisani sent his personal greetings and felicitations to the dedicated ex-employees “whose hard work and commitment over the years provided a solid base for the company’s future growth and international expansion.”

The entertaining reunion was one of several annual sporting and social events organised by the Group’s Activities and Sports Club for all the company’s past and present employees.
