Bank of Valletta has announced the launch of a new promotion encouraging the usage of cards as a straightforward and efficient means of payment. This will have a strong focus on Gozo and will run during the period between 1 and 4 May, coinciding with the Gozo 1234 weekend.

“Through this initiative, BOV card holders will have the possibility of getting their money back when paying with a BOV credit or debit card through a BOV EPOS terminal in Gozo,” explained Mario Gouder, Executive Head responsible for Consumer Lending at Bank of Valletta, “We are expecting a large number of Maltese to visit Gozo between 1 and 4 May and we wanted to provide an incentive to encourage our customers to pay by using their cards whilst enjoying their break,” he added.

Just one transaction effected during this period in Gozo will automatically render the cardholder eligible to win back the amount spent, up to a maximum of e100/ Lm42.93. The lottery draw will be held on 14 May and the winners will have the amount of the transaction credited back to their account.

The promotion is also applicable to BOV Gozo Merchants who will also have the opportunity to win cash prizes. In order to participate, Gozo merchants must process a minimum of five transactions through their BOV electronic point of sale terminal. Merchants will gain an additional stake in the lottery for every five transactions processed.
