Global Finance has named Bank of Valletta the Best Bank in Malta for 2008.
“We are delighted to be named the Best Bank in Malta for the third consecutive year,” said Tonio Depasquale, chief executive officer at Bank of Valletta, when informed of the bank’s achievement.
Bank of Valletta is included in the list of “Best Emerging Market Banks in Central and Eastern Europe” in an exclusive survey to be published in the May 2008 issue of Global Finance. Criteria for choosing the winners included growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative products.
“Winning this prestigious award for the third year running underlines the strength of the BOV brand in the Maltese market,” said Mr Depasquale.
“It also re-affirms the value of the brand promise programme that we have implemented over the past three years focused on consistently delivering a customer experience based on a truly genuine and caring service,” he added.
This is the fifteenth year that the US based financial publication has selected top banking performers.
Commenting on the results that have seen Bank of Valletta win, once again, the Best Bank Award for Malta, Joseph D. Giarraputo, publisher and president of Global Finance said, “We have identified the banks that provide service to corporations seeking to take advantage of substantial opportunities for growth in a sometimes challenging environment.”
The Best Bank Award adds on to other prestigious achievements that BOV has registered in the past months, which included winning, also for the third consecutive year, the FT Bank of the Year Award for Malta.
