GO recently announced the winner of its competition for Blueskies applicants. The first-time winner, Mr George Vella from Zabbar certainly has no regrets about his decision to redeem the Blueskies voucher at GO – on the contrary he considers himself a very lucky man. Since subscribing to the GO Plus Internet via Blueskies, Mr Vella and his family – like many other new GO Plus broadband customers – have enjoyed huge benefits thanks to GO’s high speed, 24 hour 7 days a week customer service and easy-to-use internet – and what’s more he has now landed himself the high-tech HP 530 laptop as the prize of GO’s competition.
GO had teamed up with the strategic partners of the Blueskies scheme in the early stages of its implementation and thus played a vital role in further developing Malta’s information society. All along the stages of the process, GO made enormous efforts to reach out to those families in the Maltese community who until few weeks ago were still without broadband internet at home. The competition was one of GO’s numerous initiatives in this direction.
“We were determined to give Blueskies voucher-holders a unique chance to experience the easy-to-use GO Plus Broadband internet service that boasts high speeds and at the same time offered them premium 24/7 customer support. We even gave Blueskies applicants who opted for our broadband service an e80 voucher towards the purchase of their new personal computer and free internet course,” said Claire Falzon, GO’s Marketing Communications and Branding manager.
“All new Broadband customers also benefited from the added convenience of having their modem – together with the rest of the starter kit – delivered to their homes for free when they chose to subscribe to the GO Plus broadband,” she said.
The Blueskies competition was open to eligible applicants who showed an interest in the GO Plus broadband service with the scope of going for GO Plus as their internet provider. Customers were automatically given the opportunity to participate in the competition when they filled in a special form requesting information about the service. Mr Vella’s name was drawn and he was declared winner after he succeeded in answering a skill question relating to the new GO brand.
During the presentation held at the Company’s retail outlet in Birkirkara, Mr Vella thanked GO for the great gift. The laptop would certainly come in useful to him and his family now that they were familiar with the exciting world of the internet. Ms Falzon said she had no doubt that the laptop would boost up their internet experience and give them the opportunity to enjoy broadband advantages extensively
