KD Travel Services Limited hosted a reception last month to launch its 2008/2009 KD Escorted Journeys brochure at AMITEX in Ta’ Qali. Speaking at the launch, managing director Kenneth De Martino said the past year had been an excellent one for the Escorted Journeys concept, with places like China, Japan, Vietnam and India proving highly popular.

The latest brochure features both these and new destinations, among them Russia, Brazil, New Zealand and Morocco. There are also cruises on Royal Caribbean liners to Alaska, the Caribbean and Australia, including New Zealand, apart from the Mediterranean with both Royal Caribbean and Carnival cruise liners.

“This is an excellent product,” Mr De Martino said. “KD Travel’s representatives have visited most of the countries in our brochure and the quality is what one would expect from us.”

Wines offered during the reception – the Misterio range by the Finca Flinchman winery of Argentina – were sponsored by Charles Grech & Co. Ltd.

This is the second year that KD Travel Services decided to launch its brochure at Amitex, which this year was held at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre for the first time and is, Mr De Martino commented, an excellent place for the fair and a destination in its own right.
