The team for this year’s graduation ceremony was Effective Management. Future Focus organised a ceremony for 90 students who undertook various management courses. Students completed various subjects including courses in business management, sales management and marketing, management of child care centres, operations, purchasing and logistics management.
The effective management of an organisation’s human resources is now recognised as a critical component in the success of public and private enterprises. Irrespective of size, the presence of well-trained and highly-motivated staff will enable organisations to meet the fresh challenges that come from the rapidly changing business environment. The recognition of the importance of human resources management has led to a demand for trained and qualified HR professionals and to the development of increased demand for training in various aspects of business management.
Dr Steve Lawson, Director General of Cambridge International College presented the certificates. During his presentation, Dr Lawson emphasised the importance of quality training and confirmed that the Malta centre had the best overall results from the 40 affiliate centres that the college has around the world.
The presentation was held in the beautifully restored Couvre Porte Gallery in Vittoriosa. Ms Galea, managing director, said that for the overseas students present for the ceremony the gathering was also a cultural experience. Ms Galea also gave a short presentation about the cultural importance of Vittoriosa.
On this occasion, students were updated about new programmes and career opportunities. Ms Galea also confirmed that students holding diploma certificates from Cambridge International College could continue to study with the college or could opt for an honours degree with a leading British university. She confirmed that Bournemouth University accepted the Cambridge Diploma for entry into the honours undergraduate programmes.
