GO has appointed Vanessa Macdonald Editor Web/ Multimedia, with her main responsibility being the editorship of www.di-ve.com. This new role is an important addition to the editorial team of di-ve.com and she brings considerable experience to Malta’s most popular news portal.
Ms Macdonald said: “di-ve.com has always been a very comprehensive site, with everything from news to lifestyle, including politics. The aim is to boost our multimedia content, including interviews and opinions. With over 33,000 people visiting this site every day, we want them to make www.di-ve.com their home page. It is the best way to ensure that they are kept up to date throughout the day.”
GO Chief Executive Officer David Kay wished Ms Macdonald the best of luck, adding that in the coming months di-ve.com will continue growing and will be adapting itself to the latest technologies available in the delivery of multimedia content and news.
Ms Macdonald has worked in journalism for over 15 years. After 13 years living overseas, she returned to Malta and took up a job in the newsroom at Island Sound Radio, moving to The Times after 18 months as the editor of the Weekender supplement . She was promoted to news editor soon after and ran the newsroom for seven years, before moving to The Times Business first as correspondent and then editor. She also writes freelance for local and international magazines on a wide range of subjects.
