For many, banking and wine may not be a usual combination and it becomes even more unique when there is a Swedish connotation. However, HSBC Malta in collaboration with Wands Limited and the Swedish Association in Malta (SVIV), organised an event at the Wands Cash & Carry outlet in Marsa combining all these three elements.

The capabilities that HSBC’s Premier Proposition offers in providing a world-class unique banking service with a wide range of international benefits were highlighted by Premier Proposition Manager at HSBC, Mr Sergio Bellizzi. He explained that the special features of this unique service by HSBC include global recognition, unrivalled international services and credit cards.

Gregory Inglott, Senior Private Clients Manager, explained how through the use of the Premier Private service, customers will have the opportunity to benefit from a dedicated investment and wealth management advisor. With a highly personalised and individual service, tax efficient solutions and the benefit of HSBC Group research capabilities, customers are truly able to tap into a complete and highly competitive service.

Kerstin Gustafsson delivered a presentation on how SVIV can be of benefit to Swedish expatriates in Malta. In fact, the association was formally launched in Malta at this event.

The evening was concluded by Ms Bernice Axisa, Wine Manager of Wands Ltd, who conducted a wine-tasting session of an excellent selection of Cabernet Sauvignon wines from various countries.

John A. Huber, Associate Director at KPMG, who was instrumental in the organisation of the event, was also present and answered questions related to residence and tax in Malta.
