As part of its commitment towards supporting educational development, Bank of Valletta has continued to support local libraries through the donation of books. In its latest such initiative, BOV has presented books to six Primary School Libraries. The schools are Stella Maris College, Naxxar Primary School, St Ignatius Primary College SG – Qormi, Primary School of St Ignatius – St Sebastian – Qormi, Xewkija Primary School and Xghajra Primary School.

“We have a strong education pillar within our community programme through which we seek to contribute towards the promotion of education at various levels,” said Karl Spiteri, manager responsible for BOV’s Community Programme. “We believe that our donations are helping to enhance the resources available at these libraries. We hope that our contribution towards better-resourced libraries, especially at the primary school level, will open up more learning opportunities for the young children at these schools,” added Mr Spiteri. He added that these donations underline BOV’s resolve to play an active role within the communities in which it operates.
