Bank of Valletta is this year introducing an extensive range of summer offers, spanning a host of personal banking products. They are available from the first week of June, throughout the Trade Fair period and up to the end of August. The discounts include reduction in fees and favourable interest rates on products such as personal loans, credit cards, home loans, BOV Stockbroking, Lifelink Investment Bonds and Financial Planning.

The bank said the attractive offers being launched for Summer 2008 are aimed at providing added-value to all its customers while making available straightforward and efficient banking services and payment solutions.

Customers can benefit from the waiving of processing fees on new personal loans taken until the end of August 2008. Customers will also benefit from discounted rates of interest and an extended loan term. Those customers applying for a personal loan in excess of e10,000 (Lm4,293) can also apply for a free classic credit card. Similarly, new home loan applications submitted during the offer period will benefit from discounted rates of interest and the waiving of processing fees.

The bank said customers can take advantage of its 2008 summer offers and apply for a credit card free of charge since the bank is waiving the initial card fee on new cards for the first year.

The bank will also be charging no interest on credit card purchases made through EPOS machines in retail outlets during the first six months.

Turning to investment services, BOV is offering a 15 per cent discount on local stockbroking commissions during the summer offers period. Customers applying for a BOV Lifelink Investment Bond will not be charged the one time policy fee.

In support of these offers, BOV staff will be available at the bank’s stand at the International Fair of Malta to provide free financial planning reviews and advice.
