Trafford Busuttil, managing director of Propertyline International and president of the Federation of Estate Agents, has recently conducted an intensive training course on “How to be an Estate Agent”.
The Training Academy, held at the Royal Malta Yacht Club Manoel Island, was open to the general public and offered free of charge. Spread over two months, the course started on the 15th of April 2008 with a basic introduction of the academy and its scope. Attending two sessions weekly, on Tuesdays and on Fridays, participants were trained on a variety of topics, which included body language, legal aspects of a sale, communication and selling techniques.
In each two hour session, Trafford Busuttil, addressed concerns and gave useful tips to his audience based on his personal experience working with Propertyline International.
At the end of the course, all the attendees were asked to sit for an exam, prepared by Propertyline International, to test the knowledge gained throughout the sessions. The seven candidates, who passed the test successfully with an average mark of 72 out of 90, have been rewarded a certificate and have also been given the opportunity to work as Property Sales Consultants with the Propertyline International Team.
Trafford Busuttil (born in 1967), founded In-Sight Limited in 1986. He is a Director in a number of Companies and has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years. He is also a member of The National Association of Estate Agents (UK), the President of the Federation of Estate Agents in Malta as well as a member of the Building Industry Consultative Council (BICC). Trafford Busuttil has contributed in a number on Seminars on the property market and has participated in a number of TV programmes and debates on the subject.
In 1991, he was appointed Sales Director of a leading property development in Malta. His duties included the sales of up market luxury apartments and the leasing out of 50 retail units within a shopping Mall. In 1999, Trafford was elected as a Local Councillor for his hometown St. Julian’s and was responsible for infrastructural projects in the locality. In 1992, he was awarded an Honorary Life Member of St. Julian’s Aquatic Sports Club in recognition to his contribution to the Club
