Appointed To the board

Alpine Holdings have announced the appointment to the

company’s board of Warren Zahra. Forty-two-year-old Warren has been working in the travel industry since he was 20, when he joined the then UK-based tour operating company of the Alpine Group, Maltatours (UK). During this time he worked his way up in the sales division of the leisure side of the business, first as executive in charge of groups and finally to the post of general manager.

He relocated to Malta in 1994 and commenced work with Alpine Travel as incoming groups coordinator, working through most of the company’s departments. He was appointed executive director of Alpine Travel in 2001 and has been responsible for expanding the operations and eventually negotiating the takeover of Sterling Travel & Tourism and merging the two companies. Warren joins Nicholas Zahra on the board of AHL in addition to the other board members Lawrence Buttigieg and chairman Tony Zahra.

Alpine Holdings includes in its portfolio Alpine Rent A Car, Malta’s exclusive franchisee for Europcar, and representative of National Car Rentals and Alamo, First Coaches and Chauffeur Drive; Alpine Travel, Malta’s largest incoming travel company; Hotel Bernard as well as the JV in Hotel San Antonio Bugibba; Comtec Pest Control and Fexco Financial Services (Malta).
