Cisco Expo 2008 Successfully held in Malta

Cisco Expo, the global initiative of Cisco for ICT professionals, was successfully held in Malta on 3 June.

A total of 250 executives visited Cisco Expo 2008, acknowledging it as a meeting point for the Maltese ICT market.

The Expo, which was supported by important ICT companies GO and Melita Cable (Gold Sponsors), and Computime, Kinetix, Logicom and Philip Toledo Ltd (Silver Sponsors), featured an exhibition and demo area, where Cisco and Cisco Partners demonstrated intelligent solutions and services. Visitors were able to obtain information about Cisco's innovative technologies such as unified communications, security, wireless networks, digital signage and foundation technologies by attending presentations by distinguished keynote speakers such as Cisco director of information services Donald De Witte, Representative of the Infrastructure, Transport and Communications Ministry Isabelle Bonello and SmartCity Malta sales and marketing manager Franco DeGabriele.

“Cisco Expo is the ideal platform to discuss the trends of information and communications technology, which may transform the growing enterprise”, said Cisco sales and marketing manager, Greece, Cyprus and Malta Alexandros Bechrakis. “Cisco Expo 2008 has brought together Malta's business and technology decision-makers to network and share ideas and best practices and also to highlight the role that information and communications technology may play in the economic growth of Malta.”
