Emmanuel Vella and Sons Ltd has recently delivered six Clark fork-lifters to the Malta Freeport for their new operations within the terminal.
Emmanuel Vella and Sons Ltd has been appointed sales agent for Clark since 2005. The Clark brand has never been so present on the island of Malta as it is today. Clark has been in the driving seat of fork-lifters since it invented this widely used equipment in 1917.
Clark is renowned for producing environment friendly, energy efficient and highly productive models. In fact recently, Clark has introduced a line of new forklift models which combine the ecological valuables without compromising the added value features such as state of the art levers, multi-function on-board dashboard, safety enhancements and more durable engines.
Mario Vella, Commercial Sales director within Emmanuel Vella and Sons Ltd, said that it is of great satisfaction that one of the largest Freeport terminals in the Mediterranean has chosen to use Clark, following a thorough evaluation process.
Alex Montebello, Marketing director at Malta Freeport explained that currently the Malta Freeport is undergoing a massive expansion programme which involves a lot of investment both in its infrastructure and the equipment used. He added that this is important if the Freeport is to continue increase its volume.
He said that one crucial element to keep expanding and increasing work is the level of productivity. “Apart from the constant training of our employees, our operations depend on reliable equipment. When choosing our equipment, be it heavy equipment or light equipment, like these fork lifters, particular attention is given on the quality. Every piece of equipment is a fundamental link in our productivity chain. As such we have to be confident about our products and also about the punctual after sales service our suppliers offer,” he concluded.
