Malta Enterprise is currently leading a Maltese business delegation, composed of eight companies, to Zaragoza in Spain. This delegation is part of Malta’s presence at the Zaragoza Expo being held from June to September.

Spain is the world’s ninth largest economy and the seventh largest of the OECD countries. It registers a GDP annual growth of 3.9 per cent above the EU average and is an international business hub that enjoys a privileged position with regard to southern Europe’s key markets and Latin America. Malta’s exports to Spain have increased over the past years. The main products exported from Malta include automotive components, educational toys, pharmaceuticals, electronics and electrical components and plastic packaging. On the other hand, imports from Spain are also on the increase with products imported including a wide range of consumer and industrial products such as automobiles, tiles, clothing and foodstuffs.
