New Equipment for Malta Freeport

Malta Independent Sunday, 3 August 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Emmanuel Vella & Sons has recently delivered six Clark forklifts to Malta Freeport for its new operations at the terminal.

Emmanuel Vella & Sons Limited has been sales agent for Clark since 2005 and the Clark brand has never been so present on the island as it is today. Clark has been at the forefront of manufacturing forklifts since it had invented this widely used equipment in 1917.

Clark forklifts are renowned for producing environmental friendly, energy efficient and highly productive models. In fact, Clark recently introduced a line of new forklift models that combines ecological values without compromising the added value features of state-of-the-art levers, multi-function on-board dashboard, safety enhancements and more durable engines.

Alex Montebello, marketing director at Malta Freeport, explained that Malta Freeport is currently undergoing a massive expansion programme, which involves a lot of investment in both its infrastructure and the equipment used. He added that this is important if the Freeport is to continue increasing its volume.
