GasanMamo Insurance has always been at the fore in terms of corporate commitment. The company is committed towards society at large, has supported and will continue to support initiatives that have at heart the development of young people and the provision of opportunities for empowerment.
One outlet for this is the investment in sports. This year, GasanMamo has sponsored all the leagues of the Tag Rugby tournament organised by the Malta Rugby Football Union (MRFU). The tournament for primary schools was held at the Marsa Sports Grounds earlier this year. Thirteen schools participated – Lija, Gudja, Qormi St Sebastian, Siggiewi, Fgura, Zejtun, Naxxar, Mosta, Qormi San Gorg, Birkirkara, Xghajra, Safi and Mellieha – with over 420 children joining in.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, GasanMamo Insurance also supports the Mosta Football Nursery. Football nurseries are very popular in Malta and provide children with the opportunity to play and compete in a safe and positive environment. Children look forward to their weekly training sessions and to meeting up with their friends outside the school environment. “Watching the children and their coaches interact and learn from each other and to see their enthusiasm and motivation focused on positive activities makes such initiatives worthwhile,” said Julian Mamo, director, GasanMamo Insurance. “We are glad our modest contribution supports their potential and growth.”
The upcoming Middle Sea Race will see the Comanche Raider II racing yacht compete for the first time at this prestigious annual event. GasanMamo Insurance decided to sponsor this yacht to support the crew’s efforts in getting this boat up and running for the challenge of sailing and obtaining a good placing. “Preparation for the Middle Sea Race involves hefty investment in the vessel itself and at GasanMamo we are proud to support skipper Jonathan Diamantino and his crew in their efforts to achieve their goal,” explained Julian Mamo.
On the occasion of UNESCO’s World Youth Day GasanMamo wishes to lead by example to become involved in diverse corporate social projects, in the hope it is a catalyst for future individual and collective action.
