Del Borgo recently celebrated its third anniversary with an exclusive party for members of the media and other wine lovers. The anniversary coincided with the launch of the new wine menu, which now offers patrons a choice of over 300 exclusive labels.

“We wanted to treat our guests to a memorable night so for the occasion we started off with Prosecco and then moved on to white and red wine from different regions. The wines were accompanied by a range of Del Borgo’s signature dishes and platters, prepared by our resident chef. Guests also had access to an open vodka bar,” owners Ingrid Dalli, and Alan Mercieca Bons said.

This is the third wine menu that the popular wine-bar is launching in as many years. The new menu will certainly go down well with wine enthusiasts as it is categorised by region, body and taste for a comprehensive experience. The menu, which starts off with Prosecco and moves on to Champagnes, white wines, rose`s, reds and dessert wines, also offers a comprehensive selection of fine ports, grappas and cognacs.

“It has become common for Maltese patrons to finish off the night with something a touch exclusive,” Alan said. “The popularity of these spirits is on the increase and we wanted to offer our clients a selection of some of the best specimens.”

Because most of the wines offered at Del Borgo are not commonly found at other outlets, Alan and Ingrid have also decided to offer another service, whereby clients can buy any of the wines offered on the menu to take home with them. These wines are being offered at a 30% discount from the normal price. There is also a range of fine olive oils, cigars and Maltese delicacies available.

Del Borgo is open everyday from 6pm onwards and will also be serving Sunday lunch end of summer.
