A Grade ‘B’ British Retail Consortium Certificate has been awarded to Golden Harvest, Malta’s leading manufacturer of bread, confectionery and ice cream products, by AIB International Inc.
The certificate was awarded following an extensive inspection and evaluation of the recently inaugurated company’s facilities in San Gwann, carried out last month by AIB International Inc. Food Safety Auditors inspected the company’s premises and operation processes, which were found to conform with the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.
The Certificate was issued on the basis of Golden Harvest’s food safety and hygiene programme; the HACCP plan procedures and implementation; the excellent pest control programme; its operational methods and personnel practices; its personnel training programme; the maintenance of food safety procedures; a good cleaning practices programme and first-class maintenance of documents.

Golden Harvest recently moved all its operations into a state of the art 14,500 square metre facility in San Gwann, which boasts some of the latest technological advanced baking and ice-cream making machinery.
