In a continuous effort to proactively promote the Middle East, Dubai, and Dubai Holding internationally, TECOM recently conducted a seminar in Shenzhen, China.

The main objective of the seminar was based on providing Chinese organisations with a better understanding of Dubai’s business environment and the overall benefits of Dubai as a destination for companies from where to run their regional operations. Attending the conference were approximately 80 methodically targeted ICT, home appliances and logistics Chinese companies, such as EVOC and Konka Group, which have shown an interest in expanding their operations to Dubai.

While Shenzhen is known for being the ICT hub in South China, Dubai’s strategic location, strong economy and tax-free business environment makes Dubai undeniably the ideal destination for Chinese organisations to set up their Middle East operations in. Consequently, TECOM’s initiative was well received in Shenzhen and generated a great number of direct enquiries and probes regarding the Emirate.
