Melita Marine Goes for expansion

Melita Marine, superyacht service providers and marina operators throughout the Mediterranean, announced the appointment of 17 heads for its subsidiary companies. Pierre Balzan is general shareholder and chairman in each company of the group.

The group has recently embarked on a restructuring exercise to reorganise its operations and consolidate business in Malta and across its own vast Mediterranean network in preparation for long-term growth and new acquisitions in the yachting industry.

The Melita Marine group of companies offers a wide range of marine services under one roof, from yacht refits and marina management to fuel supplies, yacht/charter brokerage and supplies of all kinds to the superyacht industry. Its strategically placed offices all around the Mediterranean coast – Italy, Sicily, France, Tunisia, England and Croatia, and developing in Spain, Sardinia, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and Gibraltar – enable the group to cater for all a yacht captain’s and owner’s needs throughout the major Mediterranean yachting zones.

Melita Marine is the operator of the Manoel Island Marina with berthing facilities for yachts from 8m to 150m. The marina boasts 120 berths on pontoons, 54 berths for super yachts over 24m, one alongside berth for an 80m to 150m super yacht, and hard-standing facilities for 20-ton yachts and slots for 60 yachts.

The group is also sole distributor for some of the most prestigious names in the manufacture of luxury yachts, like Ferretti, Pershing, Riva, Mochi and Sessa.
