Leading The way on quality

Canon, world leader in digital imaging, has announced that its large format 44” imagePROGRAF iPF8000S and imagePROGRAF iPF8100 printers range lead the way in a range of independent tests on ink usage levels, speed of production and quality.

In a series of benchmark tests, arranged by Canon through the world renowned Buyers’ Laboratory, Canon’s imagePROGRAF iPF8000S and imagePROGRAF iPF8100 series scored highly against its two market leading competitors.

The independent report found the imagePROGRAF iPF8000S used 34.5 per cent less ink than its competitors’ product running under identical test conditions. Figures for Canon’s imagePROGRAF iPF8100 were similarly good, with the Canon using 31.6 per cent less ink. In addition, the Canon iPF8000S can save an additional 8 per cent of ink usage if switched into economy running mode.

The Canon iPF8000S uses an eight-colour ink system and the Canon iPF8100 a 12-colour ink system. Both printers operate a twin print head configuration, utilising 30,720 nozzles and a four-picolitre drop size for maximum quality and productivity. Both utilise borderless finishing – a feature unique to Canon that reduces finishing costs – and a sub-ink tank system for continuous printing. The economy colour mode on the Canon iPF8000S reduces ink cost usage for signage type prints and the front loading capability on both models means it is easy to change paper types.

Avantech Limited successfully showcased the Canon iPF8000S at the DigitalArts Expo held in July at the Portomaso Hilton. Very attractive offers on the full range of Large Format Printers are available throughout the summer months. For more information go to www.avantech.com.mt
