Misiones De Rengo tops sales

Malta Independent Thursday, 18 September 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Misiones de Rengo, the Chilean Reserva wine exclusively imported and distributed in Malta by P. Cutajar & Co, has topped sales figures for Reserva wines in Chilean supermarkets.

“These results are a testimonial of the popularity of the Misiones de Rengo brand, reflecting product quality and consistency,” said Clyde Attard, Marketing Manager for P. Cutajar & Co.

Vina Misiones de Rengo is one of the most outstanding successes in the Chilean wine industry. Since its release on the market in 2001, it has won over specialists, enthusiasts and wine consumers, due to its excellent relation between price and quality and attractive presentation.

Each bottle of Misiones de Rengo wine seeks to transmit the principles upon which the winery was founded, the faith, spirit and dogma that were professed by the residents and religious orders of the town of Rengo.

The aromatic contributions of the oak are clearly perceived in this line, which has great weight on the palate, ripe fruit, and stronger tannins.

Misiones de Rengo extends its roots deep into Chile’s Rapel Valley, in the same site that the Spanish Villa Deseada, the much appreciated resting spot of travelers. It changed its name to Rengo in 1831 in honour of a courageous indigenous chief.

Located in the Rapel Valley, the winery seeks to harmoniously integrate its historic past through pure lines that evoke the traditional way of preserving wines with the top of the line technology that privileges the care of the vines.
