A vacation in Tuscany has something exceptional for everyone, and Homes of Quality together with 118 Wines is launching an October wine tour with a twist, combining wine and fun at the ideal holiday home.
Home is where the heart is. The richness and diversity of the Tuscan lifestyle has a constant appeal. It is possible to spend a day discovering museums and little traditional shops and return to a peaceful house set in a landscape unchanged for centuries. The local towns and villages are unspoiled and welcoming, often with lively markets selling seasonal produce and trattorie serving mouth-watering dishes.
Tuscany is one of the most attractive and picturesque regions in Italy. The panorama of holm oak, pine and chestnut forests, olive groves, vineyards and cypresses, its steep hills and red-tiled rooftops make it instantly recognisable. The splendid cities and fortified villages springing from lush green hills are another unparalleled trademark. Tuscan communities are closely knit and traditional, always friendly and welcoming with new visitors. People visiting Tuscany quickly discover that the hype on this region is well deserved. The ideal climate combined with the warm and hospitable population makes it a perfect destination.
The relatively high altitude, hillside vineyards, with high temperature fluctuations and harsh winters, provide high-quality wines. The vineyards of Tuscany’s four main wine districts are a buzz of activity during the autumn vendemmia. The weather at this time of year is just perfect for touring the wineries, sampling the wines and nibbling on the delicious cheeses, olives and breads.
Homes of Quality Ltd has teamed up with wine experts to give you the opportunity to sample the tastes of Tuscany. During 23 and 26 October you can be in a beautifully set farmhouse nestled between Florence, Siena and Arezzo with a small group of 16 friendly companions and a wine specialist.
The tour not only involves sightseeing and sampling the local food of the region, but also visiting local wine producers showcasing their best wines at their vineyards, all while soaking up the best sights and basking in the glorious Italian sunshine. A special wine tasting session event will be held at the new development in Vepri, formerly a sizeable farm converted into 33 luxurious apartments. The few remaining units available are being sold fully furnished and offer a tranquil atmosphere, breathtaking views and privacy. The property is exquisitely set in tended gardens lined with charming pathways and offset by a communal overflow swimming pool. The group then visits the second development in Catignano, due to be completed in Autumn 2009.
This is a unique food and wine experience that will satisfy all five senses and introduce you to a hamlet of tranquillity that could be your home away from home.
