HR Managers attend CIPD conference

A group of local HR managers from various organisations and companies recently attended the prestigious annual conference and exhibition organised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in Harrogate, UK. The conference centred around six themes that are dominating the HR and business agenda namely: leadership, change, talent, engagement, strategy and innovation.

This conference attracts over 1000 HR practitioners mostly from around Europe and is considered the number one HR event in Europe.

Various keynote speakers from industry addressed the various themes, which coupled with master classes, workshops and case studies, enabled delegates to embrace the latest innovative ideas and thinking.

The Foundation for Human Resources and Development in Malta works in close collaboration with the CIPD. In fact senior officials have been invited to the annual conferences in Malta including Geoff Armstrong who was Director General.

This year Vanessa Robinson, Head of Operations within the Research and Policy Department will be one of the keynote speakers at the FHRD annual conference to be held on Wednesday 15 November at the Hilton Portomaso.
