Recognised as by far the fastest internet experience available in the Maltese Islands, Melita’s cable internet service has recently surpassed the 50,000 subscription level. Over the last few weeks, Melita has continued to register a strong demand for its high-speed broadband internet service.

The Vassallo family of Siggiewi has been identified as Melita’s 50,001 cable internet customer. To celebrate its ever-growing internet clientele, Melita has upgraded the family’s connection to 30 Mbits per second and for the next six months the family can enjoy the fastest internet experience currently available in Malta and Gozo free of charge.

Melita’s internet and connectivity platform is currently being enhanced following an investment of e10 million in a new state-of-the-art fibre optic submarine cable connecting Malta to the rest of the world. The cable will provide increased capacity for international connectivity, improved redundancy and reliability, a superior performance and enhanced quality of service.

The 30 Mbit upgrade was presented to the Vassallo family by Melita head of marketing Malcolm Briffa.
