Casapinta Design Group Re-appointed

Malta Independent Sunday, 26 October 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

“Oil and Gas Libya” and “Infrastructure Libya” are two specialised exhibitions being held in Tripoli, Libya in February.

Following the success of two similar exhibitions in 2007 the organisers, Dar Alarab Media Group and Montgomery Group of London, have re-appointed Maltese exhibition company Casapinta Design Group to design and build the two shows that are being touted as the main shows in their respective fields being held in Libya in 2009.

Both exhibitions have received the official support of the main government authorities in Libya, namely The Great Man-Made River Authority, The Organisation for the Administration of Administrative Sectors for the Infrastructure show and the National Oil Corporation for the Oil and Gas Show.

These events will be held at the Tripoli International Fair Grounds from 16 to 19 February.

Infrastructure Libya will be addressing Libya’s immediate priorities in terms of technological needs for the renewal of the country’s infrastructure and economic development such as housing, schools, hospitals, airports/seaports, roads and bridges, water, the environment, power generation and distribution.

The Oil and Gas show will provide a major marketing opportunity for Libyan and international companies capable of providing capital investment and the technology needed for Libya’s ambitious plans to raise its oil production up to three million barrels per day by 2015.

More emphasis is being placed on national participation for these events and countries already showing interest in participating include Canada, China, Germany, Italy, the UK and the USA. These nations supported a similar event held in 2007 under the name of Projex Libya.

Dar Alarab Media Group, together with their international associates Montgomery Group of London, have an ongoing major international sales and marketing campaign that is attracting high demand for exhibition space for both events.

A spokesman for Casapinta Design Group emphasised the fact that their re-appointment as contractors for these major international shows was not a foregone conclusion. In order to win these contracts, the Maltese company had to compete against other major exhibition companies from the UK, Italy and Germany in terms of price, track record and added value.
