Twenty-four Air Malta passenger handling staff members will be travelling to Berlin for a three-week training course and work experience at the city’s Tegel airport funded by the EU’s Leonardo Da Vinci Mobility Programme.
The participants were selected following an internal call for expression of interest after the airline’s proposal for funding with the title, GeRmany-Experience And Training (GREAT), was selected and was allocated EU funds to implement this project for its employees.
The programme aims to give participants a “hands on experience” and training in client relationship management through a work placement experience in a foreign airport while offering participants a cultural exchange experience. The placement is also intended to further enhance the service levels offered by Air Malta’s ground staff.
