The Sicilian health police and Customs officials held up a consignment of 3,000kg of fish last week that had just arrived from Malta.

The fish, which was without any documentation, was destined for a notable fish seller in Catania.

After ensuring that the quality was good, the Sicilian authorities gave the fish to charity.
