Andrea Bonaci is the new pastry chef at The Palace, Sliema. Mr Bonaci will now be leading the pastry section at The Palace and will form part of a highly professional team.
Thirty-year old Mr Bonaci graduated from the Institute of Tourism Studies in 1994. He was immediately given the opportunity to work in a 5-star hotel in the UK where he remained for two years furthering his knowledge and learning new skills and techniques in fine pastry-making
On returning to Malta Mr Bonaci pursued a career in pastry-making in several leading hotels, occupying the position of assistant pastry chef for the past 6 years.
He has participated in various local and international competitions, where he achieved excellent results and several great successes, including his participation in the Cookery and Food Association Olympics.
Claire Zammit Xuereb, general manager, The Palace, welcomed Andrea Bonaci to the team. She said, “I feel confident that with him on board The Palace will move further ahead to conquer further exciting culinary challenges”.
