InterContinental Malta is currently refurbishing all 86 of its Club Rooms and 20 Club Suites, as well as its corridors. Club Rooms and Suites are located on the top three executive floors of the hotel, offering spectacular views of the Island and the Mediterranean. The work is due to be completed by the end of March, by which time the décor of these rooms and corridors will have a fresh, modern look, combining sophisticated materials and tasteful bright colours.
“Contemporary modern interiors with luxury” was the overall design concept brief given to the hotel’s designers, DiLeonardo International, Inc – Interior Design for InterContinental Malta’s Club Rooms. DiLeonardo International, with its headquarters in the USA, was the hotel’s original interior designer. Specialists in interior architectural design, they are recognised worldwide for their innovations in the hospitality industry.
The design of the Club Rooms is an exciting blend of vibrant colours and modern elements of classic designs that will be certain to exceed the expectations of the most discriminating guest from today’s generation or beyond. The corridor design has a very clean contemporary approach that flows off the guestroom, creating a vibrant, exciting circulation space. Bright vibrant colours are applied to create unique pieces of art.
Upon entering the guestroom, the guest is welcomed by a warm white tile that helps to unite the corridor and room.
A white palette was created for the main architecture of the space and contemporary furniture was added, using a vibrant colour palate of rich colours and textures to enhance the existing room. While addressing the requirements of the discerning business traveller’s need for data and communication services, the guestrooms’ contemporary approach of timeless furnishings and vibrant colour palette provides a comfortable, luxurious retreat.
Guests staying in Club Rooms and Club Suites have complimentary access to the private Club InterContinental Lounge, a world of luxury and special privileges. They are offered separate check-in, a dedicated reception desk and concierge services, private breakfast, all day refreshments, afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks. Club guests can make use of a private boardroom, computers with complimentary Internet access, comfortable sofas and armchairs and the Club Terrace, with its stunning views.
