Merchants who had customers pay by credit or debit card that they processed over an HSBC card machine, referred to as a Point of Sale terminal, have won cash prizes.

The initiative benefitted any merchant who, between 7 July and 31 August, processed customers’ cards – any Visa or MasterCard credit card, international debit cards as well as HSBC Quikcash – over an HSBC Point of Sale terminal.

During the eight-week period, two cash prizes of e350 each were won by the two merchants registering the highest percentage increase in transactions over the previous week. At the end of the campaign, the top merchant registering the highest overall percentage increase in transactions throughout the eight-week period won a bonus cash prize of e1,000. In all, 17 merchants received recognition for increasing transactions processed over an HSBC Point of Sale terminal.
