For yet another year, the Hilton Malta’s restaurants were recipients of top awards at the Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants presentation gala dinner held on 8 December.

The decision-making process was based on the votes of no fewer than 600 regular diners who eat out at least twice a week, effectively meaning that the awards were based on a minimum of 60,000 dining experiences.

The Hilton’s Blue Elephant was rated second best overall, first overall for both service and ambience, best for romantic dining, best restroom and cloakroom and best for Business entertaining. The Hilton’s Gazebo, Oceana and Bottega del Vino restaurants were also presented with a number of awards. Also for this year, Hilton Malta has been awarded for the best presentation and accessibility wine list.

The Guide lists the 150 most highly-rated of Malta’s 1,000-plus dining venues based on food, service and ambience and the number of satisfied customers responding.

More than 1,250 regular diners took part in the survey – the largest response to date. As respondents eat out at least twice a week on average, this is the equivalent of more than 130,000 individual experiences.
