Melita Mobile Offering more value to customers

Malta Independent Wednesday, 15 April 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Following the highly successful launch of its nationwide mobile services in February, Melita is adding again more value for money to all its mobile customers. Customers can now talk on Melita Mobile for as long as they need with call charges applied on a per second basis throughout the entire duration of the call.

Back in 2006, Melita pioneered per second billing on fixed line telephony and was the first to introduce this pricing model on fixed-line calls.

This charge-out concept has now been extended to Melita Mobile.

The introduction of per second billing on Melita Mobile continues to simplify the tariff and pricing structures of this mobile service.

“We promised a mobile service that offers cheaper prices with a simpler and more transparent mobile service. We are in continuous contact with our customers, listening attentively to their feedback, and wherever possible we strive to develop new products and fine-tune existing ones in line with the feedback we receive. With per second billing, a single call rate, no time window and shorter contract periods, we believe that our price structure can’t get any simpler.

“This is an excellent opportunity for all mobile users to save more money on their monthly phone bills” said Ms Alison Bezzina, Melita Mobile Marketing Manager.

“Melita Mobile is synonymous with a cheaper, simpler and better mobile service. This latest feature – per second billing – is in addition to our long-term commitment of offering up to 30% cheaper call rates, free 3G phones, no time window on pre-paid credit, a single call rate to any fixed or mobile local network, shorter contract periods, free credit each time you top-up, free talk time every weekend on all pay-monthly plans and the opportunity to use the monthly subscription fee against any mobile service, not just voice calls” said Mr Malcolm Briffa, Melita’s Head of Marketing.

Thousands of mobile users have made the switch to Melita Mobile since February 1 2009.
