BIRZEBBUGA

For Mother’s Day occasion, on Friday 8 May, the Birzebbuga local council will be organising a buffet dinner in a hotel in Sliema.

Price is e15 per person (including transport) and tickets may be purchased from the Administrative office of Birzebbuga Local Council by not later than Wednesday 6 May.

This activity is for women only.

The Birzebbuga council will be holding its annual locality meeting on Thursday at the Community Hall at 6.30pm.

On Wednesday 13 May, the Birzebbuga Council will be visiting a flower nursery which is situated in Ta’ Qali followed by a high-tea in Imdina.

Price is e7.50 and tickets may be purchased from the Administrative office of Birzebbuga council by not later than Monday 11 May.

MQABBA

In accordance with section 70 of the Local Councils Act (Act No XV of 1993), an Annual Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday, at 7pm, at the Cultural Centre, Old Hospital, St Innocent Street, Mqabba.

All residents whose names appear in the last issue of the Electoral Register are invited to participate and put forward their complaints and suggestions to be considered in the General Estimates of 2009/2010 which are being prepared.

The St Julian’s Local Council is holding a Council meeting on Thursday at 2pm

Mellieha

The Mellieha Local Council will be organising a Mother’s Day activity on Friday, 8 May. This activity will be held at the Mellieha Primary School Hall at 7.30pm.

Zejtun

The Zejtun Local Council is inviting everyone to attend the War Victims Memorial Ceremony which will be held on Saturday 2 May after the 6pm Mass in front of Zejtun Parish Church.
