Liquigas Malta and Gasco Energy, the two new companies set up for the distribution and marketing, as well as the storage and bottling of LPG Gas respectively, appointed Stephen L Muscat as their Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary.
Mr Muscat, 41, is a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accounts, and a certified public accountant by profession. He joins Liquigas & Gasco after having worked for over twenty years in the manufacturing industry, fourteen of which with Dedicated Micros Malta, where he was responsible for Finance, HR & Administration, and Malta Sales, as well as being Company Secretary. Mr Muscat was instrumental in the growth of the Dedicated Micros plant in Malta which became the main manufacturing facility for the Group.
In 2008, Mr Muscat was appointed member of the board of the Malta Maritime Authority, where he also sits on the Authority’s Audit Committee. Mr Muscat is also currently a council member of the Malta Employers’ Association, where he holds the position of honorary secretary, having been a council member for the last eight years. Furthermore Mr Muscat sits on the Malta Institute of Accountants’ professional accountants in business sub-committee.
