Giuseppe Vincelli, 39, has been appointed general manager of InterContinental Malta. Mr Vincelli, who is Italian, has been working in the tourism industry for over 21 years. In 2004, he joined the InterContinental Hotels Group as Director of Business Development at InterContinental De La Ville in Rome and then was appointed hotel manager at the same hotel two years later.

The InterContinental Malta opened in 2003 and “while the InterContinental Hotels Group is well known around the world, we need to establish the name locally with a strong impact, delivering the highest service standards,” he believes. Mr Vincelli’s goal, together with his team, is to position the InterContinental Malta as the conference hotel on the Island and at the same time, be strongly considered as the ideal hotel for leisure and corporate individual travellers. “Whether you are staying at the InterContinental Paris, New York, Chicago or Malta, the quality of service and the guest experience should be the same”.
