Garden of Eden Garage accused the Malta Transport Authority (ADT) for manipulating the transport market in order to create a monopoly in favour of a direct competitor.
In an application filed before the First Hall of Civil Courts, Garden of Eden claimed that ADT had been ordered by the Fair Competition Office on 27 April to process its applications for the granting of licences to eight open top double deck buses.
The company claimed this was another instance in which the authority’s arbitrary and abusive way of treating it.
Thus it called upon the court to take action and order the authority to process its applications and pay for the commercial damage it suffered.
Lawyers Michael Tanti Dougall and Mark Simiana signed the application.
