Local photographer, Chris Azzopardi, recently came first in the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers’ (SWPP) photographic competition.

Chris’s image, entitled The Phone Call was selected as the prestigious Judges’ Award from a total of over 2,000 images entered by SWPP members from all over the world. The UK-based association is the largest photographic body in Great Britain.

The winning photograph, a very moody, classical environmental portrait with masterful lighting, also gained Chris a Gold Award in the same competition. Most of Chris Azzopardi’s work has now become synonymous with well studied, academic photography, digitally enhanced in a subtle and unobtrusive manner.
