Lotto Game – More winnings on the Quaterno

Malta Independent Thursday, 11 June 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

Maltco Lotteries is offering more cash winnings on the Quaterno game: by playing e2 a player will now stand a chance of winning e200,000 when guessing four from five lotto numbers drawn in the first category. And if one guesses three from the five lotto numbers drawn one wins e500 while e30 would be won if a player guesses even just two numbers out of the five drawn during the Lotto draw which is held every Saturday.

This means that a player has 11 chances of winning when purchasing a e2 ticket with four numbers as follows:-

· one chance of winning the Category I (four out of five numbers) cash prize of e200,000

· four chances of winning the Category II (three out of five numbers) cash prize of e500

· six chances of winning the Category III (two out of five numbers) cash prize of e30

Naturally, players may also opt to play combinations by choosing more than four numbers: this would result in the player participating through a larger number of tickets and increasing even further the chances of winning.

Participation in the Quaterno game is done by filling in a Lotto coupon separately from the other Lotto games of Prima, Ambo and Terno, which remain unchanged.

If in any particular draw, there is more than one winning column in Category I in this newly enhanced Quaterno game, the winning prize of e200,000 will be split according to the number of winning columns.

In the event that winnings in Category ll and lll in any one draw exceed 70 per cent of the sales of the Quaterno Game for that particular draw, Maltco Lotteries may exercise at its discretion the option to limit such winnings to not less than 70 per cent of the sales of the Quaterno Game for that particular draw.
